With all these great game releases that are fishing out our hard earned dollars from the the collective pockets of gamers in November 2008, you can't help but forget one of 2008's (and of all time's) biggest releases was actually back in April. GTA4, everyone's favourite murder simulator had Microsoft fronting some big figures to secure the initial exclusivity to episodic or downloadable content (DLC) for Rockstar's money printing franchise.

Finally, Rockstar have officially set a release date and have given us a little snippet of what and where this new episode will take us.

A video that's doing the rounds at the moment involves a best selling music video game and a bicycle. What on earth could the two achieve together? A traffic hazard possibly, but the general consensus is that this is nothing short of a spectacle.

Everyones favourite coop zombie survival FPS has just been released on Steam.  Valve have taken an interesting route with this release in that the demo will actually be disabled now that the full game is out.  This coupled with requiring people to pre-order the game to get a chance to play the demo early has already generated some pretty heated discussion, but to be honest .. I don't care.  The game is awesome and I can't wait to get home and battle a whole bunch of zombies.

Today has seen the release of Call of Duty World at War from Treyarch.  Already there is a patch out and we've got a bunch of servers setup and ready for you to have a go at.  Details after the break.

Overnight Valve have released the Left 4 Dead demo to everyone, so whether you've pre-ordered or not, you can get stuck right into slaying some zombies.  So if you haven't already, fire up your steam client and you should see the Left 4 Dead demo in your available games list.

Due to the matchmaking system, by default you can't select which server to join.  You can access a server browser (even though its a bit buggy and doesn't show up all of the servers) and select which server to join.  I've posted details on how to do this on our forums here.

We've had a bunch of servers (64) for it up since the demo was released last week, so plenty of Freezone free traffic gaming to be had for iiNet and Westnet customers.

Microsoft Australia have dropped the price on all versions of the Xbox 360, just in time for Christmas and the launch of the Xbox dashboard update due out on the 19th of November.  Details after the jump.

What can I say?  This game is going to be awesome IMHO when the full version comes out.  The demo for Left 4 Dead was released earlier today Australian time for those who have pre-ordered the game, and much zombie blasting, bashing and blowing up fun has commenced.  For those who are being fence sitters and not sure whether you want to purchase L4D yet, well you'll have to wait until the 11th of November (probably be 12th our time) to get a go at the demo.

To mark the occasion, we've been busy putting up servers for the demo left, right and centre.  Currently we're sporting 48 servers based in NSW, and 16 in WA, currently as I look at the total of Australian based servers in the browser, we're rocking 64 of the servers out of a total of 153.  So this should give pretty good coverage in terms of latency for gamers across the country and quite a lot of player slots.

For those who've pre-ordered Left 4 Dead through Steam, the demo is almost upon us.  Sometime late tonight / early tomorrow morning Australian time, the demo will be released upon us.

Valve have let open the floodgates with pre-loading switched on earlier today, and our very own 3FL Steam content servers have been doing well into the triple digits of megabits of bandwidth today pushing it out to you all.

I can't wait to get stuck into slaying some zombies, how about you?
